THE SUBJECTS

We have broken this qualification into three career building skills sets. Each skill set is nationally recognised. This gives you the opportunity to start earning money sooner and start your career. The three stages are as follows:

 

STAGE 1: FOUNDATIONS SKILL SET STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT

  • CHCCOM002 Use communication to build relationships

  • CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people

  • CHCDIV002 Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety

  • CHCGRP002 Plan and conduct group activities

  • CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically

STAGE 2: ENGAGEMENT SKILL SET STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT

  • CHCMHS001 Work with people with mental health issues

  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk

  • CHCYTH001 Engage respectfully with young people

  • CHCYTH002 Work effectively with young people in youth work context

  • CHCYTH003 Support young people to create opportunities in their lives

  • CHCYTH004 Respond to critical situations
